Introduction to Jewish culture and birth practices
This training begins with a general exploration of Jewish identity before moving specifically into discussing specific aspects of Jewish practices in relation to pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. It looks at, among other things, Jewish views on fertility, breastfeeding, circumcision, baby-naming and more. It explores issues of professional cultural competence in healthcare and is suitable for any educational context or for professional groups.
